Seahorses in the Ria Formosa

Portugal é o lar de muitas criaturas marinhas maravilhosas, em particular o cavalo-marinho-de-focinho-comprido e o cavalo-marinho-comum. Em 2001, foi realizado o primeiro censo populacional destas duas espécies na ria Formosa, tendo sido registado a maior densidade populacional de cavalos-marinhos. No entanto, mais recentemente, registou-se um decréscimo acentuado destas espécies!
