Conservation toolkits for priority regions

Saving seahorses and other syngnathids is what the IUCN Seahorse, Pipefish and Seadragon Specialist Group is all about.  We developed these conservation toolkits for those who wish to inspire and mobilise people and organizations to take action for seahorses and their many habitats.

These toolkits offer information about the value and importance of priority areas and the seahorses and their relatives that live there. They also offer opportunities to harness the power of ‘community scientists’ — anyone, anywhere in the world who sees a seahorse in the wild — while engaging people to take action to protect local wildlife and habitats. Together we can improve the fate of seahorses and their habitats while engaging more people in ocean conservation.

The toolkits and supporting materials are living documents (continually updated) so please check back regularly for new versions of current toolkits and for new toolkits, and contact us at iucn@projectseahorse.org with any suggestions for improvement.  We would love to hear from you.
